We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Richmond, Virginia on a Contract basis. This position will support payroll and human resources operations by helping maintain accurate records, assisting with employee-related documentation, and contributing to timely payroll activities. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with spreadsheets, and able to manage administrative tasks with accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with payroll processing activities to help ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule.
• Provide administrative support to the payroll and HR team by preparing documents, organizing records, and handling routine correspondence.
• Maintain payroll-related files and employee documentation in an orderly and confidential manner.
• Use Excel to update, track, and review payroll information and related reports.
• Respond to payroll inquiries and help distribute written communication connected to payroll matters.
• Process supply requests and support day-to-day office coordination as needed.• Experience supporting payroll functions in a detail-oriented office environment.
• Working knowledge of full-cycle payroll processes for employee populations ranging from 101 to 500 employees.
• Familiarity with payroll deductions and garnishments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, tracking, and basic reporting.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage filing and administrative documentation accurately.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
