Job Title Community Employment Specialist II Agency North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Central Regional Hospital – Division: Central Regional Hospital Location Butner, NC Salary $35,596.00 – $62,294.00 Responsibilities Provide psychosocial treatment facilitation to assist patients in developing community living and vocational skills. Assess patients' living skills and conduct job readiness evaluations. Develop client job‑placement plans and break jobs into manageable components. Train clients in job duties, expectations of employers, and job skills. Provide on‑site supervision and support for clients during employment. Qualifications & Preferences Knowledge of psychiatric illness characteristics. Ability to instruct in a group/classroom setting. Experience completing initial and ongoing patient work assessments. Ability to relate to patients in a supportive and therapeutic manner. Preferred: Two years of directly related experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Conditional Requirements Must be willing to obtain a CDL to meet programming needs upon hire. Complete all required initial one‑time trainings, including Trauma Informed Care and hospital/clinical orientations. Maintain annual completion of hospital training, Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training, discipline‑specific trainings, and required departmental training. Maintain CPR certification every two years and complete any required just‑in‑time training related to policy or procedural changes.
