Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our outpatient office located in scenic Sarasota, Florida, a region known for its vibrant culture and beautiful beaches. Our facility is designed to provide a welcoming atmosphere where patients feel comfortable engaging in their rehabilitation process. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions and disabilities to develop tailored treatment plans that address their specific needs and goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to improve patients' mobility and strength.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, treatment progress, and billing activities in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to optimize patient outcomes and ensure cohesive care.
• Stay current with industry best practices by participating in professional development opportunities and contributing to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to clinical productivity standards and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of therapy equipment and treatment areas.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve primarily consist of individuals seeking rehabilitation after orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and work-related injuries. You will work with a diverse client population, including active adults and older patients who require specialized attention to recover from various musculoskeletal conditions. Your role directly impacts their rehabilitation journey, making your expertise crucial in helping them return to their daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong commitment to patient-centric care, with a collaborative approach to addressing patients' individual needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT, is advantageous.
• Experience in developing patient education resources and facilitating workshops on injury prevention and wellness.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
