Shipping Clerk

The shipping clerk will be responsible for preparing products for shipping using UPS, FedEx, or LTL (Freight). This role involves updating inventory on the computer system as parts are pulled, and communicating with trucks and shipping brokers for pick-ups. The candidate will be cross-trained on all three shipping methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare products for shipping using UPS, FedEx, or LTL (Freight).

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience with UPS, shipping, and warehouse operations.
• 1+ year of experience with sit and stand up forklifts.
• Experience with inventory, material handling, and order picking.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory updates.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent attendance record.
• Experience with shipping brokers.
• Good communication skills.
• A positive attitude and the ability to be trained.
• Experience with UPS or FedEx or Freight is mandatory.

Work Environment

The work environment is fairly laid back with a small shipping area within the shop. There are times when it is slower, but orders can come in that need immediate attention. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Dress code includes a t-shirt, long pants, and steel toe boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BLAINE, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
