This full-time paraprofessional role focuses on behavioral and community-based learning within transition services, ideal if you have a solid foundation in behavior management and a passion for making a difference.

Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in behavioral support, preferably within schools or similar environments
• Previous work with significant or severe caseloads is highly valued
• Familiarity with communication devices and adaptive technology preferred
• Proven ability to support students with toileting and diapering needs
• Reliable personal transportation for daily commute (bus, ride-sharing, or taxi not accepted)
• Availability to report by 8:00am consistently
• Willingness to complete fingerprinting/background check immediately upon offer (any criminal charges may impact eligibility)
• Candidates must provide two completed professional RefAssured references at the time of application

Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate support to young adults with disabilities as they navigate community and life skills
• Employ behavior intervention strategies, responding to challenging behaviors with understanding and professionalism
• Facilitate communication and participation utilizing devices and tailored techniques
• Collaborate with a dedicated educational team to foster individual growth and independence
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment, assisting with personal care as required

Position runs from August 11 through May 21, 2027, encompassing 37.5 hours per week. You’ll play a vital role in helping students transition to adulthood and greater independence, all while building meaningful relationships along the way.
