This full-time opportunity spans the academic year, beginning August 11th and concluding May 21st, and offers you the chance to foster growth and learning in a supportive secondary school environment. You’ll work closely with Heritage High School’s team of passionate educators and directly support students with unique learning needs.

Ideal candidates will bring both strong instructional skills and expertise in Specially Designed Instruction, serving students who benefit from alternative academic standards. The role places a premium on fostering a collaborative environment, partnering with fellow educators, service providers, and families to ensure the best outcomes for every student.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Department of Education Special Education Generalist License (5-21); Professional Teacher License with correct endorsement required. Applicants with pending applications must provide proof.
• In-depth knowledge of the IEP process and experience crafting, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs.
• Extensive classroom teaching experience, particularly in instructional differentiation and special education strategies.
• Demonstrated skill collaborating with IEP teams and related service professionals.
• Commitment to onsite, in-person instruction; this assignment does not support hybrid or virtual models.
• Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive IEPs with measurable goals, working closely with parents and multidisciplinary teams.
