Business Development Manager

Overview The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating, growing and managing an account base. Accountable to directly identify and initiate development efforts. Develop and execute a field sales business plan that will achieve the corporate revenue goals. Accountable to directly identify and initiate business development opportunities. Responsibilities Develops new business across all of our core competencies Identify, initiate and engage with clients that provide sustained and profitable revenue streams across multiple services Develop and execute a business plan that will achieve sales quota and budget as defined by the company Work closely with local, regional and international operations staff to ensure customers’ needs and expectations are met Present an array of logistics solutions that enable numerous entry points into accounts All other business duties as deemed necessary Support and consulting of existing customers as well as further development of a professional cooperation Conduct sales and negotiation meetings Preparation of offers and calculations Processing of customer correspondence Preparation and assembly of accompanying documents (offers, concepts, presentations, etc.) Planning; organization and execution of customer visits Recording and ensuring data maintenance in the CRM as well as for cross-departmental topics in the CRM Implementation of regular review meetings Ensuring communication between Sales/Customer Service, Operations and Management All other business duties as deemed necessary Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Completed further training as a forwarding specialist 5+ year’s relevant business-to-business sales experience in the Supply Chain Industry preferred What AIT Can Offer You In addition to a competitive salary and benefits package, we offer great programs for our employees.
