We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll – HR Administrator to take full ownership of our weekly payroll process and ensure compliance across federal, state, and local taxation requirements. This is a key position within our organization. Position Overview The payroll – HR Administrator will manage and process weekly payroll from start to finish using QuickBooks. This role requires strong payroll tax knowledge, strict attention to detail, and the ability to consistently meet firm deadlines. Key Responsibilities Process weekly payroll accurately using QuickBooks Review and verify timesheets and payroll data Manage payroll deductions and adjustments Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax filings Ensure compliance with multi-jurisdiction tax requirements Submit payroll tax payments timely Reconcile payroll reports and maintain documentation Prepare W-2s and manage year-end payroll reporting Respond to employee payroll inquiries Maintain strict confidentiality Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hands-on payroll processing experience Direct experience using QuickBooks to process and run payroll Experience handling weekly payroll cycles Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax compliance Experience managing payroll tax filings across multiple jurisdictions Strong attention to detail and accuracy Professional discretion when handling confidential information Preferred Qualifications Experience in construction or utility industries Familiarity with workers’ compensation reporting What We Value As a family-owned business, we value: Accountability Precision Reliability Initiative Long-term commitment We are looking for a payroll professional who takes ownership and takes pride in delivering accurate payroll every single week.
