About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of People to lead the HR function and play a pivotal role in the organization's mission to create economic transformation at scale. The successful candidate will be a hands-on HR leader with a generalist background, capable of operating as a one-person department and managing a wide range of HR responsibilities. This includes full-cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, shaping and protecting company culture, designing onboarding and retention programs, and owning the HR infrastructure. The role also involves strategic partnership with the leadership team on org design, workforce planning, and scaling decisions. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' of HR experience, with a strong track record in compensation design, recruiting, and culture-building, and be excited about the role of AI in workforce development. Key responsibilities for the VP of People at the company include driving the recruitment process, refining the interview process, and owning employer branding. The role requires the ability to context-switch quickly and prioritize across competing, high-stakes topics, as well as excellent judgment in navigating ambiguous and sensitive situations. Experience in managing or coordinating with contingent recruiters is a plus. The candidate should be able to lead through ambiguity, identify opportunities, and execute with urgency in complex organizations. A strong interest in AI and its potential for driving innovation and systems transformation is essential, although experience with AI is not a prerequisite.
