Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health status to identify their needs and develop appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Designing individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions and consider clients' unique cultural backgrounds.

• Facilitating regular counseling sessions, using various therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness approaches, to support clients in overcoming their challenges.

• Monitoring clients' progress and adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
\n
• Providing referrals to additional healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists or specialists, to ensure comprehensive care for clients with complex needs.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to share insights and strategies for improving client care and facilitating positive outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse population comprising individuals facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Our clinic emphasizes cultural competence in therapy, so you will have an opportunity to work with clients from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, enabling a richer therapeutic experience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW is required.

• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical experience working with diverse patient populations.

• A thorough understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated proficiency in building rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and treatment progress.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will have experience delivering both individual and group therapy sessions, using culturally responsive and inclusive practices. Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations are also highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n
