Job Details Position: Physician Assistant - Locum Tenens Specialty: Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery Setting: Inpatient / hospital-based surgical team Location: Springfield, Ohio Start Date: September 8, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift Duration: 12 hours Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with floor call/beeper coverage from 3:00 PM-7:00 AM; Saturday and Sunday include 24-hour onsite support with floor call or OR call Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,510-$4,160 Patient Population: Adult and geriatric Documentation System: Epic Job Requirements Active Ohio Physician Assistant license required Board certification in Vascular Surgery required Active ACLS certification required Active DEA registration required Minimum of 5 years of experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery required Clean background with no malpractice or license issues required Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced inpatient surgical environment Responsibilities Provide post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients Assist in surgical procedures and support emergency surgical cases as needed Take consults and referrals from the ED, Cath Lab, and other hospital providers Round on patients, coordinate care, and interpret diagnostic tests Order tests, write prescriptions, and maintain clear documentation in Epic Perform vein harvesting and retrieve vascular tissue for bypass conduit use Support call coverage and weekend coverage as part of the surgical team Why Consider This Ohio Healthcare Opportunity?
