Work Environment

The successful candidate will work primarily in our outpatient office, situated in the vibrant community of Leesburg. The role requires physical presence at the facility, where you will collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists and rehabilitation aides, to provide comprehensive care. This full-time position offers a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations and reassessments based on physician referrals and clinical assessments, clearly identifying impairments and functional limitations.
• Design and implement targeted treatment plans that cater to each patient's unique recovery objectives, with ongoing adjustments based on progress and feedback.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at pain relief, enhancement of strength, balance improvement, and gait training.
• Thoroughly document evaluation findings, treatment protocols, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, ensuring prompt and precise updates.
• Educate patients, their families, and staff on the significance of safety practices, mobility techniques, and personalized exercise programs that they can continue at home.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide well-rounded support and coordinate care efforts that align with patients' overall health goals.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, as well as institutional policies, ensuring the highest standards of care are upheld.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Reactive Physical Therapy, you will engage with a diverse range of patients, primarily in the post-acute care continuum. The demographics include individuals recovering from surgeries, those suffering from musculoskeletal issues, and older adults facing age-related physical challenges. Qualifications

• A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or an equivalent accredited program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification, or a commitment to obtaining one shortly after hiring.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills that foster supportive relationships with patients and their families.
• Ability to approach patient care with critical clinical reasoning and adapt strategies as needed.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an outpatient or skilled nursing facility.
• Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as Rehab Optima, NetHealth, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Medicare documentation procedures and the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) requirements.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation protocols surrounding fall prevention, wound care, and post-surgical rehabilitation strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

The Compensation package for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
