We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our thriving orthopedic outpatient practice located in the heart of Leesburg, Virginia. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in enabling our patients to regain their mobility and enhance their overall quality of life. Our facility comprises a modern 5000 square feet sports medicine environment designed to promote healing and recovery. As part of a dynamic team that includes two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), your contributions will directly enhance our commitment to providing exceptional care to those in our community. We cater predominantly to individuals with private insurance, ensuring our patients receive personalized and comprehensive treatment.

Work Environment

Our practice is situated in a welcoming and collaborative rehabilitation center, where a multidisciplinary team supports each patient's journey. You will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse patient population in an onsite environment that fosters open communication and teamwork. This position operates on a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals and develop customized treatment plans that prioritize effective outcomes.
• Manage a patient caseload of approximately one individual per hour, ensuring focused attention on each patient's unique rehabilitation journey.
• Implement evidence-based treatment interventions that enhance motion and mobility while promoting independence.
• Minimize reliance on medication through non-surgical therapeutic alternatives and lifestyle adjustments.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to care plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all services provided, complying with medical record requirements and best practices.
• Encourage patient engagement by providing motivation and support throughout their treatment process.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care and a comprehensive approach to patient health.
• Promote health and wellness by developing tailored fitness and wellness programs that align with patients' goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic issues, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will engage with a diverse demographic, allowing you to employ a range of treatment modalities suited to various conditions, age groups, and lifestyle factors. Your work will significantly impact their recovery journeys, enabling them to return to their daily activities with improved confidence and functionality.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required.
• Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia with no board actions or disciplinary issues.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing effective exercise regimens.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to ensure smooth documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, showcasing a solid understanding of rehabilitation protocols and patient care techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute positively to a supportive work environment.

Compensation and Benefits
