Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, establishing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, utilizing manual therapy, exercise programs, and modalities to promote healing and restore function.
• Work closely with other medical professionals, engaging in consultations and case discussions to optimize patient treatment outcomes.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and their caregivers, providing education on rehabilitation strategies and progress updates.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely in electronic health records, adhering to regulatory standards and clinic protocols.
• Actively participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The successful candidate will encounter a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurologic disorders, pediatric conditions, and sports-related injuries. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this role.
• An active state license in Physical Therapy is mandatory to practice in Virginia.
• At least two years of professional experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating a strong foundation in rehabilitation principles.
• Certification in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association is essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share information with patients and their families, as well as to document care.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and basic computer software for documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with specialized training in areas such as manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, or pediatric therapy will be viewed favorably.
