This role focuses on supporting learners in a dynamic school environment located near the beautiful Monument, CO area. Your specialized skills in fine and gross motor development will be instrumental in fostering growth and independence for children with diverse needs.
Ideal candidates bring a background in school-based occupational therapy, home health, or healthcare settings alongside experience collaborating with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs). You'll work closely with educators, families, and fellow clinicians to provide assessments, create individualized intervention plans, and implement effective therapy strategies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current state licensure or eligibility in Occupational Therapy
- Previous experience in a school, home health, or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of both fine and gross motor skill development
- Ability to supervise, collaborate, and mentor COTAs
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT assessments and interpret results for students
- Develop and implement goal-oriented therapy plans tailored to each individual's needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and COTAs to ensure coordinated support
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and make data-driven adjustments
- Advocate for students’ needs by participating in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary teams
- Support students in building skills essential for academic and daily life success
