Restaurant FOH Team - Support Staff

Overview The following positions are included in the 818 Market FOH Support Staff. All must attend all required employee trainings and meetings. Bussers - An essential part of keeping a restaurant clean, particularly in the current public health environment, bussers are responsible for clearing and sanitizing tables between guests. Assist servers by filling water glasses for customers. Server Assistant - A gateway to becoming a Server or Bartender. SA’s assist servers by filling water or beverage refills and placing the correct utensils down for the next course. They also inform the kitchen of any special needs for a guest. Food Runners - Runners make servers’ jobs easier by delivering the food from the kitchen to the table both quickly and safely. It is their responsibility to ensure that food arrives as soon as it is ready and at the proper temperature. Bar-Backs - Bar-backs act as an assistant to the bartender, with their most important task being keeping the ice filled, clean glassware stocked, and garnishes at the ready. They make sure clean glasses, napkins, and garnishes are stocked and might even help to make drinks as they learn the drink list and exhibit the talent and attention to detail needed. All positions are responsible for cleaning & maintaining our kitchens, prep areas, bar, and service floor to the highest levels. FOH Support Staff must fully understand & comply with all federal, state, and county regulations that pertain to health, safety & labor requirements of 818 Market, all employees, & guests. Support Staff are responsible for making sure all guests are happy at all times and that service stations are well stocked. Applicants should be able to anticipate the needs of all staff & guests of 818 Market. Qualifications Passion for recycling Great communications skills with ability to get along with everyone Requirements Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency with a high energy level Must be able to lift 50lb or more & be able to work on for feet for long shifts Must be able to work flexible schedule - including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Hours Per Week: 10-25 hours part-time.
