Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth psychosocial assessments to evaluate and document patients' mental health status, strengths, challenges, and needs as they transition through detox.

• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to provide focused, evidence-based interventions for individuals and groups.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nursing staff, and other professionals to coordinate holistic plans of care, ensuring all aspects of each patient’s recovery are addressed.

• Assist patients and their families in understanding their diagnoses, available treatment options, and necessary medications, fostering open communication and informed decision-making.

• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, employing evidence-based approaches to promote healing and resilience among patients.

• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team, emphasizing patient-specific goals and preferences to enhance motivation and engagement.

• Advocate for patients in navigating the mental health system, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and rights associated with their care.

• Lead psychoeducation sessions and therapeutic groups, equipping patients with coping strategies and self-management techniques to support their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on individuals undergoing detoxification from substances. Patients may include those struggling with alcohol, narcotics, and other dependencies. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• Current and active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

Compensation and Benefits\n
