Our mission is to leverage the collective strengths of FQHCs to improve the health and wellness of the people we serve. We are a fast-growing organization founded in 2016 with 9 health centers and now serving hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries who receive primary care at health centers and independent practices across Massachusetts. We are an innovative organization developing new partnerships and programs to improve the health of members and communities, and to strengthen our health center partners.Job Summary:The Analyst I, Patient Access position will be housed under a subsidiary organization of C3, Community Technology Cooperative, LLC (CTC), and is responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing Epic Patient Access applications and workflows. This role supports scheduling, registration, referral management, insurance verification, and patient engagement functions while collaborating with operational and clinical teams to improve efficiency, data integrity, and the overall patient experience. The Analyst will work under the direction of the Director of Applications.Responsibilities:Epic Patient Access Application SupportMaintain and support Epic Patient Access applications, including Cadence, Prelude, Grand Central, Referrals, MyChart, and related modulesAssist with implementation, configuration, testing, and optimization of Epic Patient Access functionalityMonitor system performance and troubleshoot application issues affecting registration, scheduling, referrals, and patient workflowsCoordinate testing and validation activities for Epic upgrades, enhancements, and new functionalityEnsure system updates are properly tested and functioning before deployment to production environmentsWorkflow Analysis and Optimization:Analyze current patient access workflows and assist in process redesign to improve operational efficiency and patient satisfactionCollaborate with operational leaders and end users to identify opportunities for workflow improvement and system optimizationDocument current and future-state workflows and develop recommendations based on best practicesSupport initiatives focused on reducing scheduling errors, improving registration accuracy, and enhancing referral management processesUser Support and Training:Serve as a liaison between end users, operational departments, IT teams, and Epic representatives.Provide timely resolution of application-related issues and user questionsAssist in developing and delivering training materials and documentation for Patient Access staffEvaluate user proficiency and partner with IT Education staff to develop targeted training programsEducate users on Epic best practices and system optimization opportunitiesReporting and Data Integrity:Assist users with reporting needs related to scheduling, registration, referrals, insurance verification, and patient access metricsCollaborate with reporting and database teams to develop reports and dashboardsMonitor data quality and investigate discrepancies that may impact operational performance or reporting accuracySupport efforts to maintain accurate patient demographic, insurance, and referral dataApplication Maintenance and Implementation:Maintain application dictionaries, user records, security settings, and configuration standards.Participate in planning, testing, and implementation of new Epic functionality and related technologiesWork with interface and integration teams to ensure seamless data exchange between Epic and ancillary systemsAssist with downtime planning and development of business continuity proceduresParticipate in system governance, change control, and enhancement request processes.Other duties as assignedCollaboration and Professional Development:Participate in on-call rotation supporting Patient Access applicationsWork collaboratively with clinical, operational, and technical teams to achieve organizational goalsMaintain current knowledge of Epic applications, healthcare technology trends, and revenue cycle best practicesAttend Epic training, industry conferences, and professional development opportunities as appropriateParticipate in committees, project teams, and organizational initiatives as assigned.Perform other duties as assignedRequired Skills:Ability to understand, analyze, document, and improve patient access and revenue cycle workflowsKnowledge of healthcare registration, scheduling, referral management, insurance verification, and patient engagement processesExperience working with Electronic Health Records (EHRs), preferably EpicStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teamsStrong customer service orientation and interpersonal skillsWeekly on-call participation is requiredDesired Skills:Experience supporting Epic Patient Access applications, including Cadence, Prelude, Grand Central, Referrals, and MyChartFamiliarity with the MassHealth ACO programFamiliarity with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)Experience working in access healthcare environmentsExperience supporting patient access, registration, scheduling, or revenue cycle operationsExperience working in a managed care environmentExperience with anti-racism activities and/or lived experience with racism is highly preferredQualificationsBachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business Management, or related fieldEpic Cadence MyChart, and/or Prelude Certification preferred; certification eligibility requiredMinimum of one year of experience supporting Epic applications or healthcare information systemsExperience supporting patient access, scheduling, registration, referral management, or revenue cycle operations preferredPrior healthcare IT, EHR support, or application analyst experience preferred** In compliance with Infection Control practices per Mass.gov recommendations, we require all employees to be vaccinated consistent with applicable law. **
