Remote Pharmacy Technician – Prior Authorization

Location: Remote (Nationwide)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hrs/week — CST 11:00 AM–7:30 PM
Pay: $21.67/hour
Type: Contract-to-hire
Openings: 10

Overview

We’re hiring Remote Pharmacy Technicians to support prior authorization (PA) work for a Clinical Hub environment. In this role, you’ll serve as a key point of contact and help drive timely PA completion by coordinating with pharmacists, facilities, physicians, and insurance plans—while documenting accurately every step of the process.

What You’ll Do

• Initiate, complete, update, and document prior authorization requests with strong attention to detail
• Communicate with insurance plans to investigate payment denials and determine root causes
• Coordinate with facilities, pharmacists, and providers to obtain/relay required information for PA completion
• Support therapeutic interchange communications and related documentation
• Work within eMAR systems and maintain clear, compliant notes and tracking

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare support setting
• Strong phone communication skills and comfort making outbound calls
• High attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and ability to manage multiple requests in a queue/workflow
• Reliable internet and ability to work the assigned CST shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) strongly preferred
• Experience with Rx Prior Authorizations (highly preferred)
• Familiarity with eMAR or similar clinical documentation systems
