What You'll Do
- Purchase direct and indirect materials to support manufacturing operations.
- Source new suppliers while building strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and favorable purchasing terms.
- Issue and manage purchase orders from start to finish.
- Monitor supplier performance for quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
- Resolve purchasing and supplier issues quickly to minimize production disruptions.
- Analyze purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and procurement projects.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records within the ERP system.
What We're Looking
- For5+ years of Buyer, Purchasing, Procurement, or Strategic Sourcing experience.
- Manufacturing or industrial purchasing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to solve problems and make sound purchasing decisions.
