Director of Event Sales & Strategic Partnerships (Weddings & Live Events)

Our client, a premier music and productions company in NY/LI is seeking an experienced Director of Event Sales & Branding to lead a newly created position.  This role will sit in LI and NYC offices.  Candidate must be comfortable with non-tradition hours - working weekends and late nights when events are happening.  Travel is required for this role based on venue. This is a pivotal role in our next phase of growth. This is a unique opportunity for a well-connected, entrepreneurial leader to operate at the intersection of sales, creative direction, and business strategy within a premier live entertainment company.  Candidate must love music and has a sales mined and entrepreneurial spirit that is social media savvy. This position is designed for someone who can drive revenue, elevate brand presence, and build meaningful relationships across the event and hospitality landscape. You will serve as both a strategic leader and a hands-on operator, directly influencing client acquisition, creative output, and market expansion.
  • Salary: $95k
Responsibilities:
  • Revenue Growth: Develop new business, expand existing accounts, and serve as a trusted advisor to high-value clients
  • Industry Relationships: Build and maintain strong partnerships with event planners and key decision-makers
  • Creative Leadership: Oversee and elevate Social Media, Marketing, Advertising, and PR to drive brand awareness and demand
  • Talent Development: Create and lead a structured department focused on recruiting,developing, and retaining top-tier talent
  • Operational Alignment: Partner with leadership, including the CFO, to optimize expenses and improve overall efficiency
  • Market Expansion: Identify and develop new territories and strategic growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven success in sales, account management, or business development
  • Strong creative instincts with experience overseeing brand and marketing initiatives
  • Established relationships within events, hospitality, or luxury markets preferred
  • Leadership experience with the ability to build and scale teams
  • Entrepreneurial, strategic, and execution-focused
