Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I in Baltimore, Maryland to prepare laboratory specimens for testing and analysis in a high-volume environment. The role involves specimen handling, labeling, routing, data entry, and quality assurance to support accurate diagnostic testing.
Responsibilities
- Unpack and route specimens to appropriate staging areas
- Accurately identify, label, and prepare specimens for testing
- Pack and ship specimens to designated testing facilities
- Perform data entry of patient information with accuracy and timeliness
- Resolve and document problem specimens according to protocols
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfortable handling biological specimens safely
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Compensation: $17.75–$24.00 per hour plus shift differential
