Salary:

Position Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role is key in maintaining the financial health of the organization and providing leadership with clear, accurate, and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the companys general ledger and chart of accounts
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Monitor cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
Handle monthly closings and assist with year-end closing and audit preparation
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax filings
Prepare budgets and forecasts, and track financial performance against projections
Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions and procedures
Collaborate with leadership to support financial planning and strategy
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial consultants as needed

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA certification is a strong advantage (preferred)

Experience:

Minimum 35 years of experience in accounting or financial management
Experience in service-based or staffing industry is a plus
Previous experience managing internal company finances is highly preferred

Skills:

Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and MS Excel
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and handle confidential information responsibly
