About The Role The Capital Financial Analyst position at Molson Coors, based in Milwaukee, offers a unique opportunity to be an integral part of the Capital Finance team within the Supply Chain Finance division. This role is designed for a detail-oriented and strategic thinker who can provide critical financial support across various North American functions. The analyst will be responsible for overseeing capital expenditures, supporting budgeting, planning, forecasting, and analyzing financial data related to capital projects. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Capital, this position involves close collaboration with multiple departments including Technical Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Tax, Internal Audit, and Technical Services & Supply (TS&S). The role is pivotal in ensuring that capital investments align with company objectives, deliver optimal returns, and adhere to internal controls and governance standards. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a relevant four-year degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, along with a minimum of four years of experience as a financial analyst. A strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal control frameworks is essential. Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems, preferably SAP, are required to manage complex data analysis and reporting tasks effectively. The candidate should demonstrate a keen ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks efficiently, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment are critical, as is the ability to build and maintain professional relationships across diverse teams. Confidence, professionalism, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are highly valued traits. Responsibilities The core responsibilities of the Capital Financial Analyst include providing objective and timely financial oversight of capital expenditures, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and internal control standards. This involves tracking capital projects from initiation through capitalization and depreciation, supporting the evaluation of investment proposals, and assessing financial returns to aid management decision-making. The analyst will monitor actual capital spend against approved budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions to optimize capital deployment. Additionally, they will support the full lifecycle of capital projects, including budgeting, forecasting, project closeout, and transition to depreciation. Managing multiple deliverables and deadlines, proactively communicating potential risks, funding constraints, and governance issues to management, are key aspects of this role.
