Vice President, Early Discovery Chemistry

Revolution Medicines seeks a Vice President of Early Discovery Chemistry to lead multidisciplinary teams in discovering novel chemical matter for RAS-targeted oncology programs. The role involves defining discovery strategy, advancing screening and synthesis technologies, and establishing the organization as a center of scientific excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead Early Discovery Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and library sciences teams to identify novel chemical matter
• Develop and execute long-term strategy for discovering inhibitors against challenging oncology targets
• Drive innovation in screening, synthesis, and discovery technologies to improve speed and quality
• Foster cross-functional collaboration between early discovery, medicinal chemistry, biology, and computational teams
• Manage annual budget and sustain team productivity through strategic hiring and mentoring

Requirements

• Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary scientific teams in drug discovery
• Deep expertise in early-stage chemistry, hit identification, and screening technologies
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI/ML, computational design, and automation into discovery workflows
• Strategic vision for expanding chemical space and accelerating DMTA cycles
• Experience collaborating across biology, medicinal chemistry, and computational sciences functions
