ABE/GED - Adjunct Faculty Continuing Education

About CCBC CCBC is the college of choice for over 50,000 students and 200 businesses each year. We offer the region’s most expansive selection of degree, certificate, and workplace certification programs at 3 campuses plus 3 convenient CCBC centers along with off‑site community locations. Responsibilities Provide instruction in math, reading, and writing skills to students enrolled in Essential Skills (4th‑9th grade level) classes. Teach GED classes, including higher level reading, writing, test preparation, and math skills such as algebra and geometry. Prepare, administer, and record test results; maintain data for grant reporting. Attend meetings and professional development workshops each semester; stipends are paid for attendance. Qualifications BA/BS degree, experience and/or training teaching adult students, knowledge of adult learning theory and best practices, and demonstrated ability to teach a computer-assisted curriculum.
