Key Responsibilities

As a Pediatric Physical Therapist, your role encompasses various essential duties, including but not limited to:

• Coordinating comprehensive patient care in collaboration with office staff and multidisciplinary health professionals to ensure a cohesive therapeutic approach.
• Maintaining open communication with pediatric patients and their families to discuss treatment progress, address concerns, and develop personalized home exercise programs.
• Referring patients and their families to supplementary services, including specialists and external agencies, to optimize their overall treatment experience and health outcomes.
• Consulting with physicians regarding patient progress and collaboratively developing treatment plans that support the best outcomes.
• Restoring and maintaining mobility, improving function, alleviating pain, and preventing permanent disabilities through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities and develop customized therapeutic programs.
• Delivering clinical treatment that includes screenings, evaluations, direct therapy, and training for families or caregivers about home management strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on pediatric patients, which requires an understanding of their unique developmental needs and the ability to adapt treatment techniques accordingly. You will work with children experiencing a range of conditions, from developmental delays to orthopedic injuries, and utilize a combination of evidence-based practices and compassionate care to support their therapeutic journeys.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate in the field is preferred.
• A valid Florida Physical Therapy License.
• At least one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital or outpatient setting.
• Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
• Experience and confidence in working with pediatric patients, demonstrating an adaptable and patient-centered approach.
• Familiarity with current practices in hospital medicine is a plus, enhancing your ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experience will be advantageous:

• Involvement in pediatric clinical internships or specialized pediatric training programs.
• Experience in community outreach or involvement in programs that further pediatric health initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, complemented by an attractive benefits package, which includes:
