Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Prior experience as a paraprofessional, teacher’s aide, or similar support role in schools
High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in education preferred
Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and supporting students with special needs
Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and staff
Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a flexible attitude in fast-paced school settings

Key Responsibilities:

Assist lead teachers with classroom management and daily instructional activities
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in academic and social tasks
Support students with diverse learning requirements, including implementing accommodations and modifying materials as directed
Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers
Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning atmosphere
Supervise students in various settings, including classroom, playground, and lunch areas
