PR Account Executive (Tourism Clients)

The Account Executive develops pitch angles and story ideas, secures media placements, and maintains ongoing relationships with media contacts. This position manages day-to-day account administration, supports core public relations functions to deliver impactful work, including media monitoring, detailed client reporting, research, press materials development, etc.

The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish and has agency experience working with clients in the travel, tourism and/or hospitality industries.

This position is hybrid – Monday through Friday in office, Friday remote.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to clients, projects, and colleagues, producing high-quality client deliverables
• Produce polished written materials and distribute press assets (e.g., summary reports, press releases, credentials, proposals) through thorough research and analysis of client-related issues
• Take ownership of media relations initiatives by ideating creative approaches to secure coverage and cultivating strong relationships with media and influencers
• Secure consistent high-quality media placements with active pitching
• Monitor and analyze media coverage, public opinion, digital conversations, and relevant regulatory developments
• Maintain deep knowledge of industry topics, client issues, and news to deliver relevant, strategic, and creative communications aligned with business objectives
• Act as a project manager for client campaigns, events, projects, etc.
• Contribute ideas to strategic communications planning and brainstorming sessions.
• Assist in the development of POVs and recommendations for clients.
• Assist with client administrative functions, including billing support and account reporting

Requirements

• A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a public relations services firm, journalism, or communications
• BA/BS required; graduate degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a relevant specialty
• Media Relations experience, including media pitching, monitoring, and analysis
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
