Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will be tasked with:

• Delivering individualized therapy strategies that promote mental health wellness, employing comprehensive assessments and evaluations to tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Providing both face-to-face and teletherapy sessions that adhere to evidence-based practices for a range of client demographics including individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to facilitate client healing and growth.

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design integrated care plans that address the comprehensive psychological and emotional needs of our clients.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and integrity in client relations.

• Participating in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to enhance your clinical skills and stay informed about the latest mental health research.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on supporting clients grappling with a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, and relationship issues. Through compassionate engagement and expert therapeutic interventions, you will guide clients in their journey towards healing and resilience, all while engaging with diverse populations reflective of the community in DeSoto.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.

• At least two years of experience in a clinical counseling context, demonstrating effective therapy practices and positive client outcomes.

• A solid understanding of applicable legal and ethical standards in the counseling profession.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, candidates with specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, or trauma-focused therapy will be prioritized. Additionally, experience conducting teletherapy is highly advantageous in adapting to modern therapeutic practices.
