Job Summary:
Neurological Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position involves providing specialized care to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, post-operative craniotomy, seizures, and neurologic tumors. The role requires assessing and managing hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients in a neuro-critical care setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shifts, 12 hours shift time, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; 2 years of experience in neuro ICU; comprehensive assessment skills; experience caring for hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients; thorough neurological assessment skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Use of pupillometer, external ventricular drain (EVD) management, intracranial pressure (ICP) waveform management, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), experience with Epic electronic medical record system.

• Additional Information: Orientation includes modules to be completed on the first day, Epic training if needed, and one day of orientation in the unit.
