Compliance Attorney

We are partnering with a leading global investment firm seeking a Compliance Attorney to join its Legal & Compliance team. This role focuses on advising on securities law matters and supporting the firm's insider trading prevention and information barrier framework across global investment activities. This is a hybrid role based in New York City, offering direct exposure to trading activity, investment professionals, and complex regulatory issues within a highly collaborative and intellectually driven environment. About the Role The Compliance Attorney will support the firm's regulatory compliance program with a focus on securities laws, insider trading risks, and the handling of confidential information in transactional contexts. The role involves close partnership with investment teams and compliance professionals to ensure adherence to applicable laws and internal policies. You will also help develop and refine policies and procedures designed to manage regulatory risk across trading and investment activities. Responsibilities Partner with Legal & Compliance teams to ensure firm activities comply with applicable securities laws and regulations Analyze regulatory and compliance issues related to trading activity, with emphasis on insider trading and confidential information handling Develop, implement, and enhance compliance policies and procedures related to information barriers and trading controls Advise investment professionals on securities law considerations in connection with transactions and investment activity Collaborate across legal, compliance, and investment teams to identify and mitigate regulatory risk Support ongoing enhancements to the firm’s compliance framework in a fast-evolving regulatory environment Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) required 2 5 years of post-law school experience at a law firm, investment bank, asset manager, or similar financial services institution Strong knowledge of securities laws, with emphasis on insider trading regulations Experience with investment transactions, trading activity, or control room functions strongly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to analyze complex regulatory issues in a fast-paced environment Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving ability, and intellectual curiosity #J-18808-Ljbffr
