Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments using evidence-based tools to determine the unique needs of each client.

• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that address individual mental health challenges.

• Delivering therapeutic interventions through modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and more, tailored to the needs of individuals and families.

• Facilitating online psychoeducational groups that provide support, information, and community connection among clients facing similar mental health concerns.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Providing crisis intervention services and support during mental health emergencies, implementing safety plans as needed.
\n
• Educating clients about their conditions, treatment options, and resources within the community.
\n
• Documenting patient encounters and treatment outcomes accurately and confidentially in compliance with relevant standards.

• Participating actively in team meetings, case consultations, and continuous professional development events to enhance skills and improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In your role as a Mental Health Counselor, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds and different age groups. Your clinical work will have a direct impact on improving the well-being of clients dealing with mental health issues, and you will play a critical role in facilitating their journey towards recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• Strong expertise in mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment practices.

• Proficient skills in conducting assessments and developing effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

• Experience providing therapeutic services to clients in individual, couples, and group settings, including via telehealth.

Compensation and Benefits\n
