Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Opportunity

GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications from experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographers for a future opportunity supporting Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, Colorado.

This position is being recruited in anticipation of contract award. Qualified candidates will be considered for employment upon contract award.

Join a skilled diagnostic imaging team providing high-quality ultrasound services to active duty service members, military retirees, and their families. This position offers the opportunity to perform a broad range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations while working alongside physicians and other imaging professionals in a military treatment facility.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Seven (7) days per week
• 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
• Shifts may be scheduled anytime within a 24-hour period
• No on-call

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders
• Prepare and position patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment in accordance with manufacturer and facility guidelines
• Recognize normal and abnormal sonographic anatomy and document findings appropriately
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout imaging procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record and imaging systems
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support timely patient care
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen
• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (or equivalent program recognized by the PWS)
• Current certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Current, full, active, unrestricted license if required by state law
• Minimum twenty-four (24) months of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer experience within the past thirty-six (36) months
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital-based imaging department
• Experience performing abdominal, vascular, obstetric, and small parts ultrasound examinations
• Strong patient care and communication skills
