Job Title: Business Development Specialist Job Description: The Business Development Specialist (BDS) is a sales role responsible for setting appointments with qualified prospects to be distributed to the sales team. This is a full-time, base plus commission position. As a member of the Freedom team, they will enhance sales process and strategies while consistently leading the team and positively impacting those around them. Career Path: Business Development Specialist can look for growth opportunities in the Sales, Business Development, and Lead Generation Departments. Possible roles include Business Development Manager, Lead Generation Manager, Director of Business Development or Lead Generation, Energy Advisor, and Senior Energy Advisor I-III. Job Responsibilities:Provide qualified leads and schedule confirmed appointments with decision makers for the sales teamMake 45-60 calls per day to prospective clients to build pipeline of prospectsSchedule 5-10 meetings per weekSort and organize sales accounts, and track leads on CRM systemOwn operational procedures and utilize best practices in support of all lead generation tools and campaign initiativesGenerate leads using database tools and marketing techniques and make calls to identified targetsEngage and interact with new prospective and senior level decision makers to identify new and emerging business opportunitiesWork closely with sales and marketing teams to create highly targeted lists in support of achieving goalsIdentify key decision-making targets and qualify opportunities for selling services to generate business and increase profitabilityEmbrace the benefits of our products and services, and speak positively and enthusiastically to promote themProvide management with various reports on campaignsEnjoy working with a great team!Perform other related duties as assigned Basic Qualifications:Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, comfortable with Excel & computersPrevious track record of success to include over achievement of quota/goalsPrevious experience cold calling/telemarketing and lead developmentDemonstrated ability to create and manage a pipeline of prospects to execute on sales strategyExperience selling a solution and not just a productExtreme attention to details a must100% honesty and integrityEntrepreneurial & self-motivatedStrong work ethic, positive attitudeMust enjoy working within a high energy team environmentMust have a valid driver's license and insurance, and be able to drive to clients if appropriateIdeal Qualifications: Bachelors or Associates DegreeDirect experience in Energy Experience with and/or knowledge of Salesforce Experience with and/or knowledge of Hubspot and ZoomInfo Work Environment: While performing the responsibilities of the job, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the job holder will encounter.
