Key Responsibilities\n

• Communicate regularly with physicians to report on patient progress, needs, concerns, and any potential or actual problems encountered during treatment.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including clinical and progress notes, adhering strictly to department policies and legal requirements.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans and discharge plans based on your psychosocial assessments and evidence-based social work interventions.

• Provide counseling and crisis intervention to patients, effectively assessing and addressing their emotional and behavioral challenges.
\n
• Consult and coordinate with families and support systems to involve them in the client’s treatment process, enhancing support outside the clinical setting.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will center around clients undergoing detoxification and recovery from substance use disorders. You will engage with individuals in need of crisis intervention and supportive therapy, which requires a nuanced understanding of trauma-informed care, addiction, and mental health issues. Your empathetic and patient approach will be essential in guiding clients toward recovery and reintegration into their communities.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Active state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

• A minimum of three years of experience in an outpatient mental health setting, particularly in the area of addiction recovery.

• Proficient computer skills, including adeptness in MS Office, electronic medical records, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Compensation and Benefits\n
