Description

• Design customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and comprehensive communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions addressing language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work in harmony with fellow healthcare professionals-including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and families-to ensure seamless care.
• Provide essential education to patients and families that empowers progress outside of clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain continuity of care.
• Keep precise and timely records in compliance with all legal and organizational requirements.
• Enhance your skills with ongoing education and collaboration with peers in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in California.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
