Make a lasting impact as a school psychologist supporting students in both elementary and middle school settings on a contract basis for the 2026-2027 academic year. This rewarding position, based near Minneapolis, offers an opportunity to help guide and empower students in grades K-8. You'll be working with caseloads of 25-35 elementary and 20-30 middle school learners, all within a single building, fostering ongoing relationships with staff and students throughout the year.

Key Qualifications:

• Current MN School Psychologist license (required)
• Experience in K-8 educational environments preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and monitoring
• Strong understanding of counseling techniques and behavioral interventions
• Skill in crisis intervention and student safety planning
• Excellent communication abilities for collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs for eligible students
• Provide direct counseling and behavioral support in individual and group settings
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to optimize student learning and social-emotional well-being
• Conduct and interpret psychoeducational assessments as needed
• Assist with crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning for students requiring additional support
• Participate in multidisciplinary and IEP team meetings

This contract position runs from August 31, 2026 through June 4, 2027, offering a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. The role allows you to focus your time and energy in one building, enhancing continuity for students and staff.
