Accounting Assistant (Sales Tax & Billing)

Looking to kickstart your career in corporate finance? Kravet LLC is seeking a detail-oriented, organized Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our day-to-day operations by managing customer accounts, handling billing adjustments, and maintaining tax documentation. Key Responsibilities System Management: Maintain and update customer sales tax profiles seamlessly within Avalara and Oracle . Compliance & Verification: Obtain, review, and validate sales tax exemption and resale certificates from B2B customers. Financial Adjustments: Prepare, verify, and input sales tax credits and credit card refunds into the Oracle system. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with customer service and internal finance teams to efficiently resolve sales tax discrepancies. Reporting: Assist in preparing and submitting monthly/quarterly sales tax reports for relevant tax authorities. Team Support: Lend a hand with ad-hoc accounting tasks and special finance projects as needed. Qualifications Proficient in Microsoft Office and G Suite products Experience with Oracle or similar EBS system preferred Familiarity with sales tax procedures advantageous Accounting knowledge beneficial Possess a friendly demeanor, able to collaborate effectively and self-motivated in a dynamic setting Skilled in extensive phone and email correspondence with clients and internal teams Demonstrated ability to proactively take charge and excel within team dynamics or autonomously Hybrid position with on-site training Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000 This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that Kravet Inc. believes, at the time of this posting, that it might be willing to pay for the posted job.
