School-Based Physical Therapist - Luling, LA

Job Description

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of students as an onsite Physical Therapist on a contract assignment, providing vital support to all grade levels in an itinerant setting. This engaging opportunity is ideal for a dedicated professional passionate about helping children and adolescents thrive in their school environment. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule from 8AM-4PM, working with approximately 35 students across several schools.

Key Qualifications:

Active and valid Physical Therapist (PT) state license required
Previous Pediatric or school-based PT experience strongly preferred
Ability to travel between school locations within the area
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Commitment to fostering student independence, mobility, and functional skills

Responsibilities:

Provide direct PT services to students in accordance with IEP goals
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure optimal support
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and track student progress
Maintain detailed therapy documentation and comply with district/state policies
Promote student participation in school activities through targeted interventions
Serve as a resource for staff development on PT matters when needed
