Relief Recovery Specialist (On-Call)

Sign-On Bonus for Bilingual Applicants : $2,000 (Distributed in 4 parts: $500 after 30 days, $500 after 90 days, $500 after 150 days, and $500 after 210 days of employment) The bilingual bonus applies to client-facing positions and will be awarded upon successful completion of the language test.

Part-Time – hours vary/on call weekly. Shifts: 6:45 am – 3:15 pm, 2:45 pm – 11:15 pm, and 10:45 pm – 7:15 am as needed, including holidays, weekends, staff out sick, on PTO, or on leave.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

We are seeking a Recovery Specialist fluent in English or Spanish. The ideal candidate has a passion for serving diverse communities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver culturally competent services. In this role, you’ll provide compassionate care, crisis intervention, and de‑escalation in a supportive and inclusive environment, helping people move from hopelessness toward a better life.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Monitor and observe Recovery Station client behavior and activity to ensure clients are safe, accounted for, and stable. Work collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team at the Recovery Station. Create and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all clients. Maintain facility cleanliness and organization daily.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct property safety checks on inbound client property. Monitor daily bed roster and census to ensure client accountability with program requirements. Assist with meal preparation and distribution. Run reports from EPIC, Medi‑Cal, and HMIS (MSRS only). Communicate daily needs, observational concerns, or impressions to health or SUD staff. Participate in daily shift‑change activities and report concerns. De‑escalate emotionally unstable client behavior. Provide orientation and overview for incoming clients. Attend to clients’ needs while maintaining the daily activity schedule. Monitor cleanliness, perform needed cleanup duties, and prepare bed rolls and basic hygienic items for all incoming clients. Ensure laundry duties are completed. Replenish supplies as directed by the Program Manager. Provide transportation and emergency response assistance, including transporting clients to local facilities when needed (Sobering Center only). Respond to emergency needs and assist SUD or Health Center staff with referrals or transfers to continuing care.

QUALIFICATIONS

Clear commitment and demonstrated experience supporting SUD/MH individuals with crisis stabilization. Availability to work weekends and holidays. Basic academic knowledge of Substance Use. Demonstrated competency in using technology. May be registered with a state certifying SUD body (CCAPP/CADTP/CAADE). Preferred: bilingual in English and Spanish.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
