Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations by utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Devise tailored treatment plans that address immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing obstacles.
• Implement one-on-one speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing enhancement.
• Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care strategies.
• Provide educational resources and support for patients and families to foster progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Occasionally participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the therapeutic process.
• Ensure timely and precise documentation in accord with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Commit to continual education and collaboration with peers to stay at the forefront of professional advancement.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
