Job Seekers can review the Job Applicant Privacy Policy by clicking here ( Job Description The National Accounts Manager (NAM) is responsible for managing and identifying customer needs by developing strategic goals and objectives. The role involves educating customers about Ryder’s additional services, such as Full Service Lease, Programmed Maintenance, Lease Financing, Dedicated Contract Carriage, and Integrated Logistics, using the Ryder Sales Process. The primary goal is to grow and maintain a portfolio of established national accounts generating approximately $10‑15 million in annual revenue. Essential Functions Plan and implement a strategic/consultative sales process to maximize account penetration. Evaluate current and potential sales opportunities with existing customers. Implement customer review and margin improvement processes to ensure satisfaction and maximize Ryder’s EVA. Develop relationships with senior management and all buying influences within the customer’s organization. Identify and effectively utilize headquarters and third‑party sales resources. Prepare strategic account plans using the target account selling process. Maintain complete knowledge of competitive alternatives in the marketplace. Coordinate administrative areas that support selling activities to promote teamwork. Train and improve sales skills, industry knowledge, and personal growth needs. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Transportation or an equivalent field. Master’s degree (MBA, Marketing, Transportation or equivalent) preferred. Experience Five (5) years or more of experience with demonstrated consecutive sales excellence in prior sales responsibilities. Four (4) years or more of experience at the Ryder BU level or similar. 0 to One (1) year of experience in round‑table attainment preferred. Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to operate and self‑driven in a fast‑paced environment. Capacity for multitasking, high organization, and excellent time‑management skills. Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices. Knowledge Advanced understanding of operations. Travel Greater than 50%. Job Category Outside Sales Compensation Information The compensation offered may be influenced by relevant experience, education, location, market data, and internal equity. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan. Pay Type Salaried Pay Range Minimum Pay Range: 70,000 Maximum Pay Range: 100,000 Benefits Ryder offers comprehensive health and welfare benefits, including medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability insurance options, as well as paid vacation, illness, bereavement, family, and parental leave, and a tax‑advantaged 401(k) retirement savings plan.
