About the Position

Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 36 hours per week, Day/Night Rotation (rotating every 4 weeks), weekdays and some weekends (3-4 weekend days per month), 4:1 patient ratio

Highlights:

• Mixed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with 27 beds serving adult and geriatric populations
• Rotating shift schedule: work the same straight shifts for 4 weeks, then rotate to the opposite shift for the next 4 weeks
• Float required within the hospital system to support various units as needed
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Rapid Response Teams
• Diverse case mix including general medical conditions, organ failure, dysrhythmia management, chest tubes, PICC lines, and substance withdrawal
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience is not required; first-time travelers welcome with 1 year of experience

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Skills required: MS/Tele, IV management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, chest tube care, PICC line management, isolation precautions, oxygen administration, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Two professional references: at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership position
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
