Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Inner Strength Counseling Services, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations of clients to determine their mental health status and treatment needs.

• Collaborating with clients to develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to their individual circumstances and goals.

• Providing ongoing support and guidance through regular therapy sessions, helping clients navigate challenges and develop coping strategies.

• Referring clients to additional healthcare services, including psychiatrists or community resources, to enhance their overall treatment plan.

• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation within our electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure compliance and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele facing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, trauma, and eating disorders. Our ideal candidate will have the experience and cultural competence necessary to address the unique needs of clients from various backgrounds. Your ability to build rapport will be essential in helping clients feel safe and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A relevant master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting.
\n
• A thorough understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based therapy methods, along with a strong commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.

• A demonstrated ability to deliver individual and group therapy sessions that are culturally responsive and inclusive.

Compensation and Benefits\n
