Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments to evaluate patient needs, preferences, and treatment goals, developing tailored treatment plans to address specific psychological, emotional, and relational issues.

• Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy sessions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, adapting therapeutic techniques according to each client's unique circumstances and clinical needs.

• Engage actively as a primary therapist in group therapy settings, facilitating discussions and interventions that promote healing and support among psychiatric patients.
\n
• Collaborate regularly with the multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive care strategies for shared patients.

• Ensure that all documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes, adheres to regulatory and organizational standards, continuing to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in patient interactions.

• Effectively conduct triage evaluations and crisis interventions for incoming patients in need of urgent care, demonstrating sound judgement and clinical acumen.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will involve working with diverse client populations, including individuals and families grappling with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. You will have the opportunity to contribute positively to the mental health of the Bayonne community while utilizing telehealth to extend reach to patients who may face barriers in accessing traditional in-person services.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.

• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, with demonstrated expertise in various therapeutic methods.

• Strong knowledge of legal and ethical guidelines pertaining to counseling practices.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a varied clientele.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 70,000 to USD 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
