We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Associate to join our team. This position will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate accounts payable records, researching invoice discrepancies, and supporting the month-end closing process.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of Accounts Payable experience , strong data entry skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Code and process invoices for payment
• Voucher invoices received from vendors for inventory purchased for resale
• Review invoices for accuracy, including pricing and quantities
• Research and resolve discrepancies between vendor invoices and receiving records
• Work with the Merchandise Department and Operations team to resolve pricing and quantity discrepancies
• Follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution
• Scan and electronically file invoices, receiving worksheets, bills of lading, packing slips, and related documentation
• Maintain accurate records of inventory received but not yet vouchered
• Prepare and audit outstanding liability listings by department
• Assist with the month-end closing process
• Maintain organized and accurate Accounts Payable files
• Review Posted Voucher listings to verify the accuracy of work completed by other AP associates
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the Controller

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience or equivalent experience
• Wholesale foodservice distribution experience is a plus
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Accurate alpha and numeric data entry skills
• 10-key by touch
• Strong computer skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
• SAP experience preferred
• Professional communication skills and excellent telephone etiquette
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills
