Lead Cook-Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center-Full Time

Job Overview Responsible for the preparation of food for patients, associates and all other guests. Principal Accountabilities Ensures department meetings, monthly in-services, training classes, etc. as assigned. Performs and meets customer needs; takes appropriate steps to rectify issues. Maintains stocks and replenishes cafeteria items as needed (dispenser soda/CO2, frozen yogurt, soup, deli bar, grab n go cooler, hot food, etc.) according to department standards. Maintains cleanliness of cafeteria, serving areas, and tray return areas. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment including cooking, hot-holding, refrigeration/freezer equipment, slicer, and utility carts. Demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude. Prepares catering orders as assigned and makes sandwiches. Prepares and serves daily menu cycle items for grill and deli station. Cleans and stocks area after each meal. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred: 2 or more years' experience in cooking or relevant area. Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware.
