Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close activities, including preparing analytical reviews and posting journal entries across key accounting areas.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and supporting analyses in accordance with monthly close timelines.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly and yearly f inancial reporting packages.
- Prepare financial reports and respond to ad hoc information requests from management and cross-functional business partners.
- Assist with projects related to process improvements enhancing technology reporting tools.
- Provide guidance, and training to less experienced accountants to ensure accurate and timely execution of accounting responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal control requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of monthly accounting close .
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA and/or MBA in Finance/Accounting a plus.
- Experience in mid to large complex company environment.
- Big4, National CPA experience is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills are required.
- ERP system experience is a plus.
