IT Desktop & Systems Administrator

Tombot is seeking a resourceful and technically broad IT Desktop & Applications Administrator to serve as the cornerstone of our internal technology operations. This role combines ERP/CRM system ownership, Microsoft 365 administration, end-user support, and device management into a single, high-impact position — well-suited to a small or mid-sized organization looking to consolidate IT responsibilities under one capable individual. The ideal candidate is comfortable wearing multiple hats: one moment configuring a new user's laptop, the next resolving a business system permissions issue, and the next developing training materials for a department rollout. Tombot is building a product that customers, families, care partners, healthcare organizations, senior living communities, and institutional partners may rely on in deeply personal moments. The support of both our applications and workstations is critical to the success of our core business processes and making sure our employees have the tools and capabilities to do their jobs. Key Responsibilities Zoho & Business Systems Administration Serve as the primary administrator and internal subject-matter expert for Zoho platforms. Manage system user access and delineation of roles required for the employee. Initial Troubleshooting of functional issues and serve as the escalation point for business system support requests and depending on the level would transition the issue into one of our internal development resource Coordinate with vendors for any upgrades, patches, and issue resolution User Support & Onboarding/Offboarding Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes end-to-end from an IT perspective Provision and deprovision of user accounts, roles, permissions, and system access across all platforms Serve as the primary escalation point for business application and desktop support issues Develop and maintain training materials, and an internal knowledge base information related to support of our key system(s) IT & Systems Administration Administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Entra ID) and other SaaS platforms Configure, deploy, and manage laptops, workstations, and mobile devices Maintain device inventory, asset tracking, and software licensing compliance Provide desktop support including troubleshooting hardware, printers, VPN, and network connectivity Enforce IT security policies including MFA, conditional access, and endpoint protection Required Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience. 3+ years of experience in an IT Administrator, Systems Administrator, or similar role Direct experience administering Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune) Experience with ERP and/or CRM platforms (preferably Zoho) Proficiency in user account management via Active Directory or Azure/Entra ID Experience supporting employee onboarding/offboarding lifecycle Strong end-user training and communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Desktop / End-User Support Windows and macOS troubleshooting and support Active Directory / Entra ID (Azure AD) user and device management Endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM, or similar) Intermediate understanding of networking: DNS, DHCP, VPN, printers Report desktop tools (TeamViewer, Splashtop, AnyDesk or similar) Microsoft 365 admin (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) Identity and access management: SSO, MFA, conditional access, license provisioning/deprovisioning Certifications (nice-to-have, not required) Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102) CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+ Soft Skills Customer Service oriented and effective communication skills End-to-end ticket ownership and resolution Comfortable resolving both hardware and SaaS/identity issues Physical Requirements Ability to lift to 15 pounds in support of setting up employee workstation(s) and computers/laptops Ability to Travel between our office locations to support our business partners for Service, Sales, and Marketing respectively, including our Engineering team should they need help with their office equipment.
